The place looks stunning, and as a long time customer of your last yeast based business I envy the new ones up there in the UP.

    • david says:

In the mitten (lower peninsula), not the UP, but thanks!
We hope to have as loyal a clientele here as we did there in VT. What is beer but a bottle of bread, right?

Happened to wander by one day… saw the equipment… nice to know it is what we thought it was for BEER ! Can’t wait until your doors are open. Best of luck and brew on !

    Hey David,

Where in Vermont are you from.. I am from Newport, Vermont but now live in Empire, Michigan. I have a couple of friends that have micro breweries up in Northern Vermont.. Brian Cook of Kingdom Brewing and Matt Nadeau of Rock Art Bewery.. Congrats on move to Traverse City, it is a great place and reminds me alot of Vermont.. If you need any help just let me know and I will start spreading the word..

      Rick,
I was just in Empire this afternoon! Very windy on the beach, but great colors.
I am from Burlington, and I agree – TC reminds me very much of Burlington, and northern Michigan in general of VT. 45th parallel, or something?

        David,
Crazy thing is David, is that I lived near the 45th parallel in Vermont, so kind of cool. Burlington is a great city, spent alot of time their on church street. Traverse City will love having you around, not many Vermonters around here though LOL. Nice to know that there are other Vermonters in the area.. TC is one of the best places to live during the summer, and the people in the area are great..

        Rick

  4. Did you site your brewery based on proximity to my house? ;)

Great news – can’t wait till you open!

  5. Heather Smith says:

As a native Vermonter, I was very excited to hear about this! Looking forward to trying your beer!

  6. Thomas Murphy says:

    David,
Congratulations to You and Ray and all your assistants !

Although we’ve not yet met, I’ve been a friend of Ray for a loooong time. I have a first grade class picture from Baldwin Elementary that features the two of us.

The business looks absolutely first class all the way. That figures because I’ve never known Ray to do anything “half-baked” and I’ve heard that you David are an expert when it comes to baking (pizza) and brewing (beer).

I’m anxious to ride over from my Northern Michigan location to have a look and a taste. In the meantime, have a cold one for me.

Oh, how do I order my Beer Futures card ? Are you open to sell one if I stop by there ?
These cards are a very good deal and a terrific investment (What’s better than beer ?)
They would make terrific gifts for that hard to buy for beer lover.
    I hope I’m not too late !

sure like the looks of the solar panels on the roof…. can’t wait for the beer. didn’t know about the tasting Monday night, but saw great reviews from the TC-Hopz gang.

  8. Welcome to the neighborhood. I’m so glad to see someone do something else creative with the depot building. It is an architectural asset to TC and helps define the neighborhood. As a kid I grew up in the shadow of the Centlivre Brewing Company (Old Crown) and remember the smells in the air of grain, hops and beer. I’ll pop around for a beer and a few free sniffs of air from time to time. May try a pizza or two as well. Best Wishes

  9. Holly Sharp says:

David – the place looks beautiful! What a great architectural choice for location.
Hope I get an opportunity to drink/eat there at some point in the not too distant future.
Congrats & have fun! – Holly
