Watching for Foxes is a indie/ folk rock band from Grand Rapids, MI. Forged through raw emotion and incessant gigging, supporting the likes of Langhorne Slim, Larry and His Flask, Joseph, Saintseneca, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers, Mike Mains and the Branches, and Knox Hamilton, Watching for Foxes creates a passionate and striking sound that you won’t forget.

John Sinkevics, Local Spins: “Could Watching for Foxes be the next great indie band to come out of Grand Rapids? The band has been making its mark on West Michigan’s emerging folk revival scene with its striking harmonies and incisive, rootsy lyrics.”

The Pistil Whips 7-10pm

The+PW's+feild+andsuit+promo+shadowThe Pistil Whips – are a new duo based out of Boyne City, MI. They combine the styles of funk, blues, and jazz to make a sound all their own. Eric Dane Jaqua plays the revolutionary Farmer Foot Drums (a drum set operated with the feet only), guitar and vocals simultaneously. With Will Love on sax, clarinet, keys and beatbox flute.

Will and Eric met at Bliss Fest, a roots music festival that takes place near Cross Village MI, in the summer of 2013. Will was there to perform with Boyne City-ites The Galactic Sherpas. Eric was also there with northern MI premier blues duo Hipps-N-Ricco. They joined forces to become eternal brothers of funk. They are The Pistil Whips.
