The Filling Station Podcast #11

2014

This is our first episode of 2014 and we hope all of our listeners enjoyed the holidays as much as we did. Just a heads up that it was freezing in the office where we tape the show (and pretty much everywhere else in the Mid-West:) so we left the heaters on. If you hear a slight buzz in the background don’t worry it’s not your headphones or speakers just the cold taking over.

Segment 1

We are happy to announce a new book program with the Traverse Area District Library, conveniently located next to the Filling Station, called “Books and Brewskies”. The club will meet the fourth Tuesday of every month to discuss a great new book, while enjoying a few Filling Station beers. This month the book we’ll be discussing is called “Everything Matters” written by Ron Currie Jr.

Everything Matters!: A Novel

Segment 2

We are bringing back the D.C. ESB which is a favorite of many in the Traverse City beer community and pairing it with a new pizza called The Parenzana! This pizza is a brother and sister collaboration and has quite the back story.

Segment 3

This segment always highlights the entertainment at the Filling Station and we are always happy to have our two house bands Monday and Wednesday. We have traditional Celtic music on Mondays with a variety of local musicians playing their favorite Celtic tunes. On Wednesdays the Younce Guitar Duo is pulling out their Taylor Guitars and providing some great improvisational acoustic music.

Join us at The Filling Station for some great beer, and pizza in 2014. We always love hearing from you at todd@thefillingstationmicrobrewery.com
